Basic Vinaigrette

Adding a tossed green said to any meal is a great way to increased your vegetables.  Dark leafy said greens are packed with nutrition.  The darker the leaves, the better.  I like to use pre-washed, mixed greens.  They already have done the mixing and washing for you.  Experiment with your in order to find your favorite combinations.

Prep Time: 15 mins
Yields: 4 Servings


  • 3 tablespoons oil of choice (extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, or walnut oil)
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar of choice (choose from red wine, white wine, balsamic, apple cider, raspberry etc.)
  • pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper


  1. Whisk the oil and the vinegar together until combined. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add additional ingredients, if desired.


You can add in minced garlic, dijon mustard, honey, fresh or dried seasonings and come up with your own winning mixture.
