Tzatziki Sauce

Tzatziki is a sauce served with grilled meats or as a dip.  Tzatziki is made of salted strained yogurt or diluted your mixed with cucumbers, garlic, salt, and olive oil.  Add dill, mint and lemon for a most refreshing side sauce for a variety of purposes.

Yields: 8-10 Servings

Ingredients

  • 1 large English cucumber, peeled, grated and drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 2 cups Greek plain yogurt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh mint
  • Black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Add all ingredients and mix
